LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet Review
The LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet is a 5-inch child-friendly gadget that will take the kid’s learning experience to new heights.
Today’s modern day learning has been spawned by touchpads in every corner of the market. The well-known Apple iPad, the competitive Android tables and maybe the HP Touchpad are among some of these touch technologies creating a craze. These are information and entertainment-laden gadgets for adults. But the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet has been created for kids.
What is good about the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet
A convenient 5- inch screen – or in tech terms, 400 x 712 pixels. Simply put, this is an easy handle for a kid instead of your wide-inched touchscreen gadget. Also, this takes the risk off in your pricy tablet because of the LeapPad’s 2.4 x 13 x 17.9 dimension. It’s simply child friendly and handy.
It’s educational – more often, or most preferably, you want your kid to have both fun and learning at the same time. LeapFrog’s LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet helps you get your kid learn by interaction. The applications are indeed educational and entertainment for starters. It may not have thousands of apps compared to its Android counterparts, but this will serve as a major step into more learning for your kids.
Multimedia features – LeapPad has the common features provided by the popular tablets; a video recorder and a camera. Most kids enjoy taking picture and recording videos, letting out that artist inside them.
There is parent interaction – you can also track your kid’s progress along the way using LeapPad’s Learning Path. You can receive email and info that helps give you ideas on how to assist your child in improving their learning.
Fun too – the LeapPad, electronics for kids, offers an array of apps like PetPad, which kids can learn to adopt a pet and nurture them. They can learn to write letters using the stylus. Story Studio is where kids can create their own stories using pics and videos they’ve recorded. Art Studio, which makes use of your child’s creativity, is another interactive game to play. Photo Studio, which will let your kids edit the pictures they took, will help bring out the editor in them. Roly Poly Picnic uses LeapPad’s motion sensors in a tilt and steer gameplay.
Applications – other than art and fun, LeapPad also covers mathematics, geography, music and more.
Cons about the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet
Depending on usage the tablet can drain the batteries so you should consider using rechargeable batteries. LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet lets you use rechargeable batteries so that if you have to go somewhere, you will always have those batteries handy.

What customers are saying about the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet
Rating:

Lots of comment about durability of this tablet which hasn’t seemed to be an issue. It has been dropped and kicked around and keeps running like a trooper.
Reviewers commented that the display is large and clear. The tablet is light without feeling (or being) flimsy. The graphics and instructions are clear and presented in a friendly and expressive manner.
Also frequented mentioned is the educational aspects. One reviewer stated since then it’s been amazing to see how it has held her interest as she has learned what it can do and how to do it. She’s the kind of child who likes to do and learn things on her own. This toy is built so it explains things as you go; the more she does the more that is explained. For her, at least, part of the fun is learning how to use it.
Everyone loved having the built in camera and software is an added bonus. One reviewer said if you have considered buying your child one of the kid friendly cameras now you don’t need to. Some of the kid friendly cameras come within spitting distance of the cost of this pad.
