Great instructions – they do not contain jargons that can make things complicated during the assemble.  They are pretty much easy to follow but if you need more information, you can always search the internet for construction tutorials.  There is always a chance you may spend more than an hour creating one, but building it is half the fun.

Plenty of challenges – Mindstorms has 619 components, and 16 constructing and programming challenges you and your kid can sort out.  For this, you can create four different robotic models you want to play with

Inventive fun – that can be translated into different robot designs.  You can always make another design yourself once you get familiar with everything.  You can rearrange the parts, components and sensors if you want.

Very durable – the robotic parts will last a long time, and can be replaced if they do break or gets lost.

Battery operated – so you don’t have to worry about it dying out as the batteries are replaceable.

This robotics kit can offer hours and hours of fun. While playing with it, you’ll (your kid) be able to interact with people all over the world, and you’ll have a great start in engineering.

This reviewer stated that his grandson is just about 9 years old and this was purchased for him. The projects this kit makes have been challenging but totally doable as far as the construction is concerned. He needs help with the programming but is totally capable of loading the sample programs to make the projects work.

Another reviewer said I have two boys, ages 12 & 14, and this new toy is now the object of constant battles between them. Once one “robot” is completed and played with for a few short minutes, the other child is already bargaining for when he can dismantle it and build his own project.
